<hi style=afpcap>The US Army obtained almost 200 de Havilland Mosquito bombers between 1943 and 1945 with most being produced in England, but with 40 supplied by Canada as the F-8. The Canadian version was the equivalent to the B. Mk.IV, and was employed mostly in the photo reconnaissance role, but was somewhat inferior to the British version. Of these only 16 were delivered to the UK and none were flown on operational missions. The 8th Air Force used the PR. Mk. XVI also for reconnaissance, including some intended for night photo work. Seven were modified to enable the crews to communicate with agents behind enemy lines in occupied territory. A few were converted to T. Mk. III standard for conversions training. </hi>
